I purchased these at a used clothing store, where they had been washed once and were a deep indigo color. After that, I washed them and starched them, and have been wearing them gently for a year. The starch has not been washed out since. You can still feel a little stiffness from the starch near the hem.

The hem has been professionally altered at a Levi's store in Kyoto, preserving the original chain stitch.

These are from the beloved Valencia factory and have a vintage denim feel.

They can still be worn for a long time, and you can still see good fading.
