Couroc trays are made from a proprietary phenolic resin material, which resembles ebony wood and is resistant to alcohol, boiling water, and cigarette burns. The trays are known for their inlaid designs, which often feature natural materials such as shells, coins, wood veneers, and metals. The designs are set by hand, making each piece slightly different.
