Oppo PM-3 For Parts

I have a pair of Oppo PM-3 planar magnetic headphones for parts. They are 8 years old, I'm the original owner. The leather is peeling pretty significantly, see images. Also, the right ear doesn't get any sound coming out of it, but I don't believe the speaker itself is busted. I can occasionally get it to work if I jiggle the small section of cord that comes up from the left ear piece and goes into the headband part (see the fourth image for the specific spot). It's likely just a severed wire, but I don't think I have the tools or skill set to fix it.
