sought-after ! Vintage Mongolian Folk Art Embroidery Multi Textile Fabric Paint Yarn Caravan



I find this piece to be mesmerizing. The different types of fabric used, along with the paint, and yarn / fiber, it's merely hard to describe. You notice the mountains in the back and the rest of the traveling band coming down from the mountains. The jewelry, the adornments, and let's not forget that cute little dog.

This piece is 16 inches across 22 and 1/2 in tall and just shy of one inch wide. The fabric has been stretched over a frame and then the outside of the frame is covered in a attractive woven fabric.

From my research I understand this to be from the 1930s, but I cannot be sure of that. I don't see any rips or tears or stains, just assorted fuzz that may not have been there originally. The dog has one loose strand of material down his front left paw.
